This week, we’re introducing you to Tisha. Tisha is FIERCE and over 40. Tisha and Jodi met a couple of years ago when a mutual acquaintance invited them both to a Christian networking group. They stayed in touch off and on and over the last couple of years have become very close friends, as well as colleagues. Tisha is owner of Tisha Landrum Photography and is a highly talented newborn and maternity photographer.
Each of the women that participate in the FIERCE Over 40 project are given a questionnaire to help us get to know them and their story better. Below you will see Tisha’s favorite pictures and her questionnaire answers.
We asked her to tell us who Tisha is, where she’s from and a short bio of her life:
“I am a Mom of a 5 year old boy named Ethan, I am a Professional Photographer who specializes in Photographing Newborn Babies, Maternity, Children, Baby's First Year Milestones, High School Seniors, and Families Located In Camp Hill, Pa. I'm born in Baytown, TX. (Near Houston), but moved to Central, PA at 6 years old. I have lived in Central, PA most of my life. I have recently lost about 35lbs and I feel fantastic. I want to be able to share my health journey with others to inspire them. I have had many things to overcome in my life so far. Don't we all? Everyone has a story. I've always been a Christian my whole life and I gave my heart to God when I was about 8 or 9 but I was never Baptized in water. I finally got the chance to do that in the spring of 2021. I have been actively seeking God in my life and I'm so amazed at the things he has done for me & shown me in my walk with him. I hope to be able to be a role model for other women in business & in life that they can accomplish many things. All they have to do is believe in themselves & have faith in God that he will put the right people in your life at the right time to get you where he wants & needs you to be.”
What is the best thing about being your age?
“Having the confidence to do most anything you put your mind to.”
What is your greatest achievement?
”Being a Mom.”
What is your favorite thing that you have checked off of your bucket list?
“Touring up & down the East Coast with Magic Of Orlando Drum & Bugle Corps as a member of the Color Guard in 1998 & 1999.”
What trait are you most proud of?
“Probably my fierce loyalty to Family.”
What is your greatest fear?
“Snakes!”
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
“I wish I had a smaller tummy.”
When, in your life, have you felt most confident and why?
”I think in my early 20's I just had a good routine. I was focusing on taking care of myself on the inside & out. I am starting to feel that way again at 42 & It feels amazing!”
What did you like most about being a part of the FIERCE Over 40 Project?
“I love that I have the opportunity to inspire others to feel good about themselves.”
Have your perceptions of what being “attractive” means changed over time? What do you define as attractive now?
“Being attractive doesn't mean you are thin and pretty. To be attractive you must feel good about yourself no matter what the scale says, society says, others say about you. Feeling comfortable in your own skin is the most important thing.”
