FIERCE Over 40 Project | 40 Over 40

Sometimes, women that are participating in our 40 over 40 project have no desire to use our wardrobe closet. It’s too far outside their comfort zone or they just know what they like and what they don’t like. Maureen was one of those ladies. She works in marketing for a local senior living location and needed a new headshot, but wanted the full FIERCE Over 40 experience. Maureen is 52 and loved her FIERCE Over 40 experience!

START BY TELLING ME WHO YOU ARE? WHERE ARE YOU FROM? GIVE ME A SHORT BIO OF YOU AND YOUR LIFE.

I’m a single Mom who works full-time. I’m also a caregiver to other family members.

WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING YOUR AGE?

Watching my daughters grow into adulthood, guiding them through life’s challenges and supporting them all the way.

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?

Motherhood!

WHAT TRAIT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?

People say I’m kind but I’d like to say I’m a hard worker!

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?

I’m never sure anymore about what looks good on me! Clothes or make-up. I never know when I look good.

I think the pandemic took that away from me due to being in health care and wearing a mask. Hard to feel pretty anymore.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I’d Definitely be taller!

WHEN, IN YOUR LIFE, HAVE YOU FELT MOST CONFIDENT, AND WHY?

I’ve had jobs over the years that required a high degree of professionalism.

HAVE YOUR PERCEPTIONS OF WHAT BEING "ATTRACTIVE" MEANS CHANGED OVER TIME? WHAT DO YOU DEFINE AS ATTRACTIVE NOW?

Definitely! Not concerned with my weight at all anymore.

We’ve wrapped up our 2022 FIERCE Over 40 project, but 2023 is in full swing. We’re looking for at least 40 more amazing ladies OVER the age of 40 to grace us with their presence in our studio.
