Not every wedding is a huge to-do! Sometimes, couple's have been married before or are maybe older and just don't want all the pomp and circumstance that comes with a lot of weddings. Small wedding photos mean just as much to the special couple as they do when thousands of dollars are spent for the venue and cake.
In June, Jodi had the privilege of capturing Chris and Heidi's small wedding photos for them. They were both on their second wedding and having a huge bridal party and large number of guests just wasn't on their to do list anymore. They both have a son and being able to have family pictures at a local park after the small wedding was exactly what they wanted. No reception photos because they simply invited everyone to a great restaurant for dinner to celebrate together. And no one wants pictures of people eating so it just isn't necessary.
Chris and Heidi said I Do at the Grandview Church in Lancaster. It was a lovely ceremony with about 25 of their closest friends and family attending.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds opted for pictures outside at Greenfield Park since they were eating at Greenfield Restaurant. It was a beautiful day weather wise and we were able to capture some wonderful family memories for this happy couple!
Weddings are a great time to have those extended family pictures taken. Cousins who haven’t seen each other in a while or maybe new cousins who haven’t met before the wedding from opposite sides of the isle.
Getting all of the grandkids with the grandparents is also a great idea on wedding days. We can pretty much guarantee that the grandparents will love that you thought of them to do this!
Weddings don’t have to break the bank to be memorable and bring family together. As long as the important people in your lives are present, that’s all that matters.

Greenfield Park was the best location for the extended family photos after the small wedding!
